Answer
As long as the TV has a headphone output, then yes you can. If it doesn't, but has red and white output connectors, you can still connect it, but you may need to purchase a phono cable.

Bose Companion 3 Series II USA is 120V 50/60Hz. No swith on subwoofer to change from 110 to 220v. How do I make it work in a 220 volts country ?
Juts bought a set of speakers Bose Companion 3 Series II USA is 120V 50/60Hz.
Had to travel abroad and am now in a country with 220V.
No swith on subwoofer to change from 110 to 220v.
How do I make it work in a 220 volts country ?
Is there a hidden switch somewhere ?
If not, will a simple phone charger/surge like Belkin solve the problem ?
If not exactly what sort of transformer do I need to buy (how many electrical watts) ?
Thanks.- Asked by Imrana T from Paris

Does it come with a wireless remote control or can I buy one for this system?

AnswerIt does NOT come with a wireless remote, nor could you get one to directly control these speakers. There are some options available to get a "remote control" for your speaker. If you have an iPhone or iPod touch you already own all you need; well almost. You will also need an application form the app store. "Remote" is a simple yet useful application (created by apple) to control your itunes and/or apple TV. There are also many other remote control applications that do more than just controlling your itunes.

when plugged into headphone jack on computer, does it disable computer volume control and leave it to the knob or can you use both?
- Asked by Saheel C from Plainsboro

AnswerHi,
No, it doesn't disable it. You can still use it to adjust volume, so its up to you what you control it with.
You could leave the computer volume at say 75% for eg, and use the bose knob, or you can adjust volume on the computer - entirely up to you. (or use a combination of both)- Answered by Paul B

Are the speakers compatible to the13' Macbook Pro?
- Asked by David S from Brooklyn

Best AnswerThese speakers need a 3.5mm port to plug into, which is usually your headphone socket on the computers (as my imac), so if you have one on your macbook (which i'm pretty sure you would) then yes, it is compatible with your macbook.

can i connect my CD player to Bose companion 3.And if yes what extra cabels will I require for it
- Asked by Sandeep A from Allentown

AnswerYes you can. Depending on what type of cd player it is, you will need either an RCA to 3.5mm jack or a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack cable, i.e. headphone plug to phono type plugs or headphone plug to headphone plug. You would use the latter with a portable CD player with a headphone or line out jack, and the former with a hifi-type separate box unit.

They are compatible through the desk top control. If you only want to use them for your Nano though I would use the Bose sound dock, fantastic sound.

Any wireless solution for playing my favorite music?
No more cables connections and sockets to play music either from my mac book pro or my ipod touch

AnswerIf your intent is to play items on iTunes then Airtunes is a great choice. All you need is an Airport Express ($99.00) and a mini audio cable from the airport express to the speaker. You can connect using your existing wireless network or create one just between your computer (or iPod touch) and the airport express. The new wireless speaker will show up on the right lower corner of your iTunes window and you can specifically choose what speaker(s) to play.
