We have a model 770c/A IPad. I am going to Both Ireland and Northern Ireland. What power adapter should I use.

AnswerIreland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland & Wales all use the same electrical outlets.
A UK/Ireland Apple Power Adapter will do the job (change /ca/ in web address above to /ie/ to view online) or just take your own charger and use a travel adapter plug. They're much cheaper, widely available here in Ireland and you'll probably need one for other gadgets anyway.- Answered by Nigel C

I haven't seen the new wall charging unit, but if we assume that the output voltage is 5 volts -- then the charging unit would be putting out 2.4 amps.
Quick calculation to find watts: Volts * Amps = Watts, so 5V * 2.4 amps = 12 watts.- Answered by Gerry C from Coto De Caza

Best AnswerIt most definitely will. Apple has already said the new 12W charger will charge all apple products faster than the older chargers. I can full charge my iPhone 4S in about 2 hours.

what power adapter do i need for ipad gen 1

AnswerAny of the iPad adapters will work for the iPads. You can purchase this 12w adapter and just use a 30-pin USB cable with it. It will draw as much power as it needs to (since the iPad 1 uses 10 watts, it will draw 10 from this).

Are the iPod adapters somehow grounded, not adding noise to the signal/iPod?
Hello!
I have a Q about the iPod adapters. Do they add noise when connected to the mains. I am a sound-engineer and I use...want to only use iPod Touch 4 32gb to play selected music using professional audio monitors in a pro environment.. etc, but the adapter I use now (not original) adds noise to the signal, despite there are many filters applied to the electricity chain. I need that iPod all the time connected to the mains and I was wondering if the original apple adapters are somehow grounded...not adding noise to the audio signal?
I really need that clean audio signal while my iPod is always connected the the mains via adapter. Any options for moded/handmade adapters are welcome too, lol : )
Thank you in advance!

Is this the charger that came with my iPad 3?
- Asked by Matthew - from San Jose
- 27-Oct-2012

Best AnswerNo, this adapter comes with the 4th generation iPad. However, it works with the 3rd generation iPad and will charge just as fast as the adapter that came in the box. However, unlike others have noted, your device will NOT charge any faster than normal. Power is drawn, not pushed, so iPad draws as much power as it needs. The new iPad can draw more than the old one, but the old one still draws just as much as it always did.
