No, this is a Lightning to 30 pin (dock) adapter
It allows you to connect older iPhone cables (30 pin) to your new iPhone 5 or iPad 4 with a Lightning connector.

No, but there is an adapter you can buy that will fit the two together. Bose has just come out with the new docks for the new speedier connector.
