Best AnswerYou need a cable called mini display port to Hdmi. This plugs into the Thunderbolt port on your MacBook Air and then the Hdmi port on your tv. There is one on the apple website by a company called kanex.

Is there a HDMI to Component Converter compatible with Apple TV
My 10 year-old Marantz SR8200 AV Surround Receiver does not have HDMI inputs. It only has S Video and Component Video & Audio inputs. Can I connect the Apple TV to this receiver? Do I require an adapter? If so, what kind?

Best AnswerThere is not, I think there's something in the Apple TV OS and system hardware itself that won't allow you to view content that is connected to a TV/receiver through a converter. The Apple TV only works with HDMI to HDMI cables. Your TV or reciever must have an HDMI input.
