Can i use a HDMI SPLITTER FOR MY TVs One HDMI slot?
My Samsun TV 1080 has only one HDMi Slot. What would I do to add an APPLE TV?

Best AnswerWhat you are actually looking for is called an "HDMI Switcher". An HDMI Switch will have multiple HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. These can be found for as little as $10+ and many will offer between 2-5 HDMI inputs.
Don't get this confused with an "HDMI Splitter" which will have one HDMI input and multiple HDMI outputs (used to connect to multiple displays or send audio to a receiver).- Answered by Ryan V from Moraga

Will this one have sound when I connect it from my newest macbook air to my HDTV?

Best AnswerI just got my new air today and bought a mini display port to HDMI cable from the apple shop.
Firstly, the apple hdmi to hdmi cable has both hdmi ends, so you will not connect directly from your air to TV unless you buy an extra convertor。
The simplest way is to get a mini display port to HDMI cable instead, it does carry both video and audio to your TV.
I was wondering whether my cable carries audio before I buy it, and one of a apple stuff told me it does not.
However, I bought it finally and now I am 100% sure that it does carry audio!
But after you connect it you have to set the output as TV(HDMI) in the reference--sound.
Just set your mind at rest man, I think people who say it does not carry audio probably they had not even used it, or did not know how to set it up.
Finally, I love my new air, it is the forth mac the I owned.- Answered by Jiahao L

Does any one know if this supports 120 Hz refresh rate? And if not whats its max refresh rate?
- Asked by Michael S from Marcellus
- 13-Nov-2010
- Flag as inappropriate
Best Answer120 Hz refresh rates is only how fast the TV screen refreshes and has nothing to do with the actual HDMI cable. It's the same digital signal regardless of the refresh rate. So, yes - This cable will support TVs with 120 Hz refresh rates.

Can you use one Apple TV and an HDMI Splitter to show on Two TV's?
I have two TV's, one in my living room and one in my bedroom.
I want to be able to watch my apple tv in both rooms but not at the same time. Its just a hassle moving the apple tv room to room.
I found an HDMI splitter for 6 dollars on amazon and wondered if that would work. The HDMI cable with where the apple tv is only 5 feet and the other length would be about 12 feet.
Would this work. I would imagine only one TV would work at a time.
Let me know if any of you have tried this.
THanks for helping.- Asked by Danny D from Peoria

Best AnswerAssuming its a newish mac you need a third party mini display port to HDMI these can found easily via google, bear in mind older macs with mini display ports will not always support sound.
If your mac is older you may need a DVI or mini DVI to HDMI.- Answered by James S from Leicester

How can i project my iPhone or iPad screen into any projectors? which are all the apple cables i need to purchase?
I want to show my appliations and documents from my iPhone & iPad device to projectors. So please advice me which are all the apple cables i need to purchase?
- Asked by Raja S from Chennai

Best AnswerIf you want to be able to show any application, you will need a projector that supports HDMI, an HDMI cable, and a 30-pin to HDMI adapter from Apple. This can mirror an iPad 2 or iPhone 5 (yes, 5) screen to the projector exactly. However, most projectors (especially business projectors) only have VGA, so you would need a 30-pin to VGA adapter from apple, and any iPad or iPhone 4. However, this will only allow certain applications (like Keynote for presentations) to display on the projector. You cannot use this method to show any application, only those who support the feature.
