With my iPad 2, they sold me a VGA Adapter so I can link my iPad to a projector or TV. But I need another cable, what is it? Or do I start over?
- Asked by Jill D from Oskaloosa
- 03-Nov-2011

Best AnswerYou need a VGA cable. This cable will work with the iPad, with no adapter. The benefits of the VGA cable is that it is more commonly found on projectors, and the quality can be somewhat better than component.

Best Answer
Yes, it is. The TV must have an available A/V Input (with female RCA jacks).
Just plug the adapter cable in and set the TV "Source" to that input. If your iPod or iPhone is set up correctly, you simply play your video and it is sent out to the TV.- Answered by Christopher M from Houston

Answer
It will work to display video, but not to mirror your iPhone or iPad display. Just the apps that support an external display, like movies and YouTube. You need different cables for mirroring, which don't work on iPhone 3GS and iPad 1.

- Asked by Jon H

Best AnswerThe digital AV adapter is HDMI and includes a higher definition video output that the composite (RCA Jacks -Yellow, Red, White) which is analog video (yellow). I don't know if the audio signal is better in the HDMI vs the RCA (Red/White) - it depends on what the iPad sends.

How can I connect my Iphone to an Interactive Board / Smartboard? Is this possible?
- Asked by Marcelo B from Cairnlea
- 19-Feb-2011
- Flag as inappropriate
Best AnswerYes it is possible. Purchase an Apple Component AV Cable. Connect the 3 prongs (red, white and yellow to the smartboard). The usb does not connect to the smartboard. Connect the other end to the iphone. Select Composite on the input selector on the smartboard. This only works if you want to play a movie downloaded from itunes etc. The USB can be used to charge the iphone if you have an adapter for the plug-in. Plug adapter into outlet and place USB into the adapter.
