what do i need to watch videos on my ipod touch 64gb on a tv ?
I have a late 2009 release ipod touch 64gb. I am told by most retailers that the apple cables at around £35 are apparently 'chipped' and are the only cables that will work on my unit. This is an excessive price for such a lead, as i can apparently use any AV lead on an ipod if it is not an ipod touch (late 2009 release). I need an inexpensive option to do this without paying such a high price as the frankly overpriced apple leads.

Composite Video Cable may not be compatible with iPhone 3G/3GS. Apple support article contradicts this product page. What gives?
Apple support article HT1454 indicates that this composite cable is not compatible with iPhone 3G/3GS. The charts in the article show that the 3G/3G phones are not compatible with the composite cable, whether or not it's being used with the Universal Dock. That information contradicts the info on this product page. What gives?

I want to connect a CRT TV wirelessly to do presentations from my MacBook. What combination of equipment would I use?
I want to set up our large CRT TV in our meeting room so that any wireless and Bluetooth enabled laptop can make presentations on it wirelessly. I don't want to connect all the different cable combinations that every generation laptop will have. Wireless will be the common connection.

I have several TVs. Some have COMPONENT inputs, some have COMPOSITE inputs. Will the COMPONENT cable do the COMPOSITE function or do I need both?
I have several TVs. Some have COMPONENT inputs, some have COMPOSITE inputs. Will the COMPONENT cable do the COMPOSITE function perhaps by using one of the 3 video plugs in the yellow input? Or do I need to buy 1 of each cable?

Will I be able to watch the Sky Mobile TV app on my TV with this cable?

Best Answer
Unfortunately not.
I have this cable and tried doing just that.
Interestingly I get sound but no video.
Whilst leaving the cable connected to my TV I closed the Sky Mobile TV app and played a video from the iPod app which appeared on-screen as expected. I guess therefore that the Sky Mobile TV app is preventing or playing video in the wrong format for it to appear through the video out port.
I guess I'm not surprised. Shame.

Will this cable allow me to connect the iPhone 3G to my TV and watch the new Sky Mobile application?
I have just got a free 3-month trial of the Sky Mobile application so I can watch Sky Sports, News & ESPN on the iPhone, but I want to connect it to a TV to watch - will these cables allow that or are they coded to only allow playback via official apps?
