Will current keyboard work with OS 10.5.8?
According to specs, minimum OS is 10.6.8.

Best AnswerThe Function keys will not all work properly on 10.5.8, all the other keys will be fine. The previous model MB110LL/A would work with all the Function keys on Leopard or Snow Leopard.

Best Answer
The total length of the keyboard cable is: 1.9 metres or 6ft 2 ins.
It is made up of 0.9 metre length cable attached to the keyboard and a 1.0 metre length 'extension' cable. Thus total length, 1.9 metre.
A jolly good sturdily feel keyboard although I have an annoying 'clacky' space bar!
Best wishes

is there a battery in the wireless keyboard? If yes, where is it located?

Best AnswerYes. There are two AA batteries required for the wireless keyboard. They are located to the left side of the keyboard, exactly opposite the power button. You need a coin or similar object to turn the round battery door thread open.

Left handed version?
Numeric keypad on left side

AnswerI have personally never seen one of these before, and certainly not by Apple. You may be able to purchase the smaller version of this keyboard and try to find a third-party retailer to get you a stand alone number pad to put on the left side, but Apple doesn't guarantee that these models work with their computers, so it may be hard to find one that you can use.

Answer
The device weighs approximately 475g. There's definitely some heft to it, especially when compared to some of the cheaper plastic keyboards floating around. This is, of course, due to it's aluminium construction.

Is it compatible with OS X 10.6.5, 64-bit (Intel)?
I recently had a new hard drive installed in our Mac Mini and was using a Macally keyboard. Their update drivers do not support 64-bit and the keyboard freezes. I want to ensure that a new keyboard will be fully compatible.

How can I order the British layout keyboard?
It defaults to German when you add the British version to the shopping cart. This is even if you select the 'British' keyboard from the main shopping page showing all the keyboards. Also is this a PROPER British keyboard with SHIFT+2 = " and not @?

AnswerHi, I have been having the exact same problem and it's driving me mad!! I found a rather lengthly way around it though:
1. Select a Mac mini as though you wish to purchase it.
2. You arrive at the configure your Mac mini page. Scroll down to "Apple Keyboard" and it allows you to select a British keyboard.
3. Click "Add to Basket" on the right hand side
4. When it displays the items in your basket, simply remove the Mac mini. You are left with the British keyboard in your cart.
A bit of a pain, I know, but I have been struggling with this for almost an hour so it seems the easiest (albeit only) solution at the moment.
