Best AnswerIf your Mac mini has HDMI output then it should have included the HDMI to DVI adapter in the box. You would just connect the DVI to ADC adapter to the HDMI to DVI adapter and plug in to the mini's HDMI output. Make sure you have the DVI to ADC adapter with the large brick and not an ADC to DVI adapter. ADC delivers power as well as the digital video signal to the display. This is usually supplied from a Mac with a video card that has ADC onboard. The DVI to ADC adapter supplies the power externally (the brick) and combines that into one cable that plugs into the ADC connector on the monitor. I have used this setup with many different Macs with DVI output or available DVI adapter with no problems. The Mac has to have a digital video output for it to work. (mini DVI, mini display port etc.) Some of the older iBooks only have mini VGA ports which are analog signals and hence don't work.

Does this plug into the Macbook Air?
Hi -- I just purchased a pocket projector, and I want to hook it into my macbook air. The projector has a USB port, and a cable that goes from USB on the projector side to DVI on the computer side. The MacBook Air doesn't have a DVI port, but I was wondering whether there is a converter that will go from DVI into something that plugs into the MacBook Air. This looks like it might work, but I would appreciate confirmation (or guidance to the correct product). Thank you!

Is this a Mini DVi to DVI-D(single link) or Mini DVi to DVI-DL (dual link) adapter? I can not see the number of pins from your picture.

Best AnswerIt seems a single link adapter. I thought it was dual link (looking at the picture), but it can't work at resolution higher than 1080p (1920x1080). Tried with dell u2711

Best AnswerYes you can, but check if your MacBook Pro has Mini-Dvi or Mini-Displayport. If you are using the latest MacBook Pro, it should be mini-displayport, if it is, buy the mini-displayport to DVI adapter.

AnswerNo! Never ever ever physically modify a port on your computer if something doesn't fit in it. Most likely you bought the wrong cable, if your mac was made after early 2009, you probably need a "mini Display Port to DVI Cable". Search this website for MB570Z/A
