Is this the cable to connect my new macbook pro to the old for migration assistant?
I'm not sure of the configuration of the firewire ports on my Macbook Pro and the new one I am coveting. If I go ahead with the purchase of the newest 17" Macbook Pro it seems that the easiest way to transfer all of my files, emails, and settings is with a firewire cable and migration assistant. Is this the cable I need?

I have an older JVC GR D390U MiniDVD Camcorder - My MacBook Pro will not import using a USB Cable..will the 4 to 6 pin Firewire work with this..?
MacBook Pro is 5.1 with Intel core duo...does it need the Firewire cable to import into IMovie. Does the cable fit into the DV slot on the JVC Camcorder?
