Is ipad2 compitible with the Zeppelin air system?
I purchased Zeppelin air system is it compatble with my ipad2
- Asked by James A from Philadelphia

AnswerI have a Zeppelin Air and iPad 2 is working fine.
I would recommend updating the firmware on the Zeppelin Air which resolved my issues.
The sound is awesome. I compared to Bose SoundDock 10 and the Monstor box and concluded the B&W had the best sound.
Other suggestion is if you want it to be mobile then get an Apple Airport Express which will create the wireless network and fits in the same box. I move between my home and lake house so friends and family can all stream music from iPhones and iPads. We love it.- Answered by Barrett T from Sterling

How to do airplay for iphone & ipad2
- Asked by Vincent L from Launceston
- 18-May-2011
- Flag as inappropriate
AnswerWhen in your iPod app there's a little symbol that will appear when your iPod/iPhone/iPad automatically detects an AirPlay device. It wont show until you have an available Airplay Device.
You simply click the symbol and select your Airplay Speaker.

If I buy 2 of these speakers, would they be able to connect to the wi-fi and function as one system?
I am looking at buying two Zeppelin Airs to replace my old sound system. I am thinking of connecting it via wi-fi. The limitations in the past is that only one system can operate at any one time. So is it possible to connect both and make it function at the same time is what I'm trying to figure out.

AnswerYes you can. You can select one at a time or all your systems at the same time and have a loud party!

What are the range limitations from the wfi router or iPhone?
Does the speaker have to be within a certain range of the wifi router? Also can I play music from my iPhone from anywhere in the house once the iPhone is within range of the router?
Thanks- Asked by Bill S
- 25-Nov-2011
- Flag as inappropriate
AnswerWithin a certain range yes but it's a big range. unless you have mansion it shouldn't matter. I have had no issues having the router in one side of the house and the zeppelin in the other. I guess it depends on the quality of the router for the maximum range. You could always get an AirPort express and extend the range of your wireless network if you had issues, i doubt you will though.

Answer
Since it works with iPad 1st Gen and 2nd Gen, most likely it will work with iPad 3rd Gen. B&W does not recommend you dock an iPad; however, it does work. They recommend Aux input or AirPlay (iPad 2 and up). A 1st Gen iPhone works docked or aux input with the Zepp Air as well.
