Can I buy a docking station for macBook Pro? I would like to be able to dock my MacBook Pro onto a docking station and work with the larger screen.

Best AnswerYou probably already have your answer, but yes. A few of the options that I have been looking into are the Henge Dock, BookEndz, and the ViDock. The ViDock isn't specific for any laptop; rather it works for any laptop with a pc card slot. None of the options are as powerful as, say, an HP docking station. You will have multiple things to plug in still. Apple needs to pull their heads out of their nether regions and realize that professionals would like to use their equipment, but have needs for docking stations and multiple monitors.

Short answer - yes. Microsoft has a Mac Native version of Office that comes in Home/Student and Professional flavors. I like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 2011 on the Mac better than the current version of the same programs on PCs. Unless you need to interface with an Exchange Server and require the full functionality of Outlook, go with the home/student version that doesn't include Outlook.
Alternatives: Apple's iWork components are Office Compatible and they do a pretty good job for a smaller price tag. There's also Open Office which is a free, Open Source effort (like Firefox) that is also pretty good. However, neither option is a complete replacement for MS Office.- Answered by Christopher H from Virginia Beach

can i run Quickbooks Pro 13 on my Mac
I purchased Account Edge software a few years ago, and it as not as user friendly as Quickbooks. Everyone I do business with uses Quickbooks, and it would make it simpler and cost effective to use Quickbooks Pro 2013. Will I be able to run this program, without a lot of hiccups, with all of my Mac products. I have desktop, Macbook Pro laptop, IPad, iPhone, and that is why switched over to Apple, so that everything syncs, and it is "idiot" proof. I am better when everything flows, and runs smoothly.
Please let me know as soon as possible.
Thank you for your help. :)

Best AnswerI'm assuming you have an HDMI port on your tv. If so, HDMI carries both video and sound, so you need Belkin Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter. This should go from your Thunderbolt port to HDMI port in the tv

Best AnswerNo it doesn't and probably never will. People have been asking for it ever since it came out but Apple long decided that online streaming is the future. I would love for them to put in blu ray but I highly doubt they ever will.

My teachers use it at school. It is really only if you want to lock down the laptop so no one will casually steal it. you can buy (i guess from Kensington) a 4 number combination lock that clicks in and is attached on the other end to a long thin metal cable that you can loop around any small enough object that isn't going anywhere, like a column of some sort.

Not with the HDMI port. The HDMI port on nearly all laptops is an output only and cannot accept input. You can connect a game console through a USB video capture device. Look for a "VHS to DVD kit", and make sure it is Mac compatible. Many of these devices are Windows/Linux only.

- Asked about: LaCie 1TB Rugged Thunderbolt/USB 3.…
AnswerOnce you install an OS onto it (formatted with GPT partition scheme, and formatted as Mac OS Extended (aka HFS+), you can boot from the Thunderbolt port or the USB 3.0 port.
I have several drives, each with a different version of the OS and different applications.
You can either use the Installer, or clone an existing drive that is already bootable.
Just be sure to not connect both interfaces at the same time. Only one will work at a time.- Answered by Mike M from Beaverton
