Well it depends what you really want. If you want to put a lot of apps, pictures, and music on it, it would be better for the iPad 2 32 GB. Now if you are going to put very few of what I said, it would be okay to get The New iPad. It would be nice for the display on The New iPad. But your choice.

Yes. Across the board, there is a vast improvement in speed and performance. The processor (all new A5X), onboard graphics, and memory (RAM) have all been increased adn/or upgraded for the new iPad.

It is for going to my doctors to pull up for games to have something to do when i am at home to sick to get out of bed so it can down load movies so i can watch my favorite ones and not miss it my Grand Daughter can use it at school to help her locate features in some of her classes or her home work and the really big thing is when i go to the doctors for infusions i will be able to get my mind on something else like movies pictures of my daughters and their kids You can can get on internet for about any thing !

For your needs, iPad 2 should be just fine. Even though the new iPads came out, there still aren't that big of differences between all of them. I got iPad 2 because it's cheaper than others, it runs iOS 6 and all the apps that run on the latest ones, run on iPad 2.

Yes, if you have recieved the Microsoft Word Document as an email attachment, Mail can preview, copy text from and print the document.

For more advanced features, Apple's Pages app (part of their iWork suite) can easily view, save, and create documents in the MS word (.doc, .docx) format.

So yes, the original iPad, iPad 2 and the new iPad, all provide MS word support out of the box, and with the Pages app can all become very handy mobile word-processors.

Yes, but if you haven't upgraded to 5.0 yet, then you have to do it through your PC and ITunes.
Beware, if it's not done correctly, you will lose all that is currently stored on your IPad.
I've asked several places, Apple stores, Staples, Best Buy, and an authorized Apple repair facility to do it for me.
All refused, as it was to risky.
