Best AnswerYou do not need a cable to connect your iPad mini to Apple TV. Just download the Remote App from App Store and while your iPad Mini and Apple TV are on the same network, you can control Apple TV from your iPad MIni.

Best AnswerYes, providing you have Mountain lion and that the apple tv is connected to the internet. With mountain lion under displays you can send it too the apple tv if you are on the same wireless network.

Does Apple TV support closed captioning?
As a deaf viewer, closed captioning is mandatory for enabling a viable viewing experience. I recently purchased a Roku2 device, but found the subtitles in Netflix very difficult to read (yellow text without a proper contrast background). I want to understand if that's an issue with Apple TV as well.

If you have good wireless internet at home (WIFI connection) your best bet is looking at the Apple TV.
A little more expensive but will play all your iTunes movies and tv shows wirelessly from the iPad, that way you can have the iPad in your lap, no balancing act required :)- Answered by Kimberley B from Lisarow

AnswerYes. Better still, you can shut down the ATV in the family room and the ATV in the master would give you the option of 'Resume' or 'Play From Beginning'.

AnswerIt connects directly in the sense that you can stream your content on the TV via Air Play, provided both devices are in the same WiFi network. No other set-up is required, which makes it insanely easy to use.
This means that you can always stream all of your Facebook content through the AppleTV. That being said, there is no native "App" on the AppleTV for Facebook, so you will need to have an iOS device or Mac sitting around to get the content on the big screen.- Answered by Tobias V from Atlanta
