Does it also allow ethernet wired networking? It looks like it has three plugs...
I currently have an ancient Belkin router and an ancient Airport Extreme base station, connecting six macs and one ethernet-networked printer. The printer is not USB. It looks like this unit is both a wired and wireless router. Yes? I'd love to replace both the Belkin and the older Airport base station with something more reliable. Thanks, Z

Should I get an AirPort Extreme, and will it interfere with a 2WIRE wireless router?
I am wondering too if it will support an internet connection to a Windows 7 upgraded (from Vista) PC and a Nintendo Wii console. On my existing wireless router, would I simply plug the AirPort into a normal ethernet port or the WAN port?

Can I connect my iMac to the AirPort Extreme for a wired connection and still use it to establish a wireless connection with a laptop PC?
I currently use a Linksys router. My laptop, which uses Vista 64-bit, works great. But my iMac 24" constantly loses connection if I connect it to one of the ethernet ports on the router. The same thing happens if I use try going wireless. The Genius Bar couldn't give me a reason why, nor could several techie friends of mine.
The only thing any of us could think of is that there is something in the router that doesn't mesh well with the iMac. As a result, I've connected the iMac directly to the external modem and put the router back in its box.
So would the AEBS permit a wired connection with the iMac while still allowing me to set up a secured wireless connection with my laptop?
Question number 2 is: will the AEBS work with Windows 7, if I were to upgrade my laptop PC from its current Vista 64-bit?- Asked by Michael F from Sammamish

I have a Mac Pro and a PC wired to our Router. Can these connect to the Airport Extreme for internet while our Macbook connects wirelessly?
Since we have a Windows PC and and Mac Pro with no wireless capability, I would need to connect them via ethernet for internet access. But my wife has a Mac Book with wireless. Can they all connect to the Airport Extreme for internet access at the same time? Can this be done with the Airport Express? Thank you.

I need 16 ethernet 1000 ports AND dualband wireless G/N. How to expand the AirPort Extreme Base Station to give 13 more ethernet for onlineLANparty?
We regularly host LAN parties, most of which are wired through a hub and are off-line. However, more and more games are requiring that each PC be connected to STEAM and/or LIVE so we are looking for a solution where we can have 16 wired computers running at the same time, PLUS we want to have the flexibility to connect to the same network via wireless G or N.
The AirPort Extreme Base Station appears to be the perfect choice for the wireless aspect, but it only has 3 ethernet 1000 ports. Most other options only have 4. Is there a way for us to expand the number of ethernet 1000 ports on the AirPort Extreme Base Station?
We will further use this to connect PCs on CAT5e cables throughout our home. We have a dedicated Windows XP PC hooked up to the TV for Netflix and music (work) stations in the kitchen and two bedrooms, so we want those to be wired into 4 of the 16 wired ports.
I would guess that I could just plug a hub into one of the ethernet ports, but I don't know if that would get all the HUBbed PCs onto the internet or not.- Asked by Ben B from Casper

I currently plug my office IP phone directly into my NETGEAR router. Can I use an Airport Express to extend the signal to another room?
Right now I'm limited in that my office IP phone is hard wired and plugged into the back of a NETGEAR wireless router. I'm wondering if I can extend my wireless internet signal into another room in the house with the Airport Express, and hard wire the Ethernet cable into the Airport Express from the IP phone which needs a direct "hard" connection?

Can I connect my computer via ethernet to the extreme to get internet access without the router being connected via ethernet to the extreme also?
I want to use my extreme to provide an old G4 with internet access. My G4 is upstairs and my router downstairs. Can I connect the extreme via ethernet to the G4 and get access to the internet via wireless? Or does the extreme need an ethernet connection to the router? I do have an extended phone socket nearby, can I connect directly into this and still keep the router downstairs? Thanks
