    No, the adapter itself (the "brick") is not the same as that used in any of Apple's currently shipping notebooks.

    But yes, the detachable corner with the AC power cord or prongs (Apple store employees here call this the "duck"?) is interchangeable with this part on all other Apple adapters I've tried - MacBook 65W, 85W magsafe adaptors and even a really old iPod firewire charger.

  • The AC power cord is the same connector. The power supply unit is not; it outputs 2A at 5VDC with a female USB type A connector.

  • This is not the same. The macbook ones are made for the macbook's. This is made for the iPad, iPhone 4, and All the new iPods
