Use the European or US adapter.

Definitely. But leave the cord behind.
They use a Type A plug (2 parallel prongs) like the one we use here in America.
You cannot use the 6-foot cord, unless you buy a universal adapter for about $5 in the Philippines. This product is Type B (3 prongs/grounded).
If you have the Type B (American), Type C (French) or Type G (British) plug most hotels will let you borrow an adapter. All hotels I've stayed in let me borrow one adapter. But it's a good idea to buy another plug adapter since it's very likely you will need to plug another device at the same time. There's always camera batteries, laptop, iPhone and iPad that needs to be charged.
