    You do need a licence but you do not need a separate licence. Anything powered by batteries is covered anywhere under your homes licence.

    " Portable televisions and similar equipment such as laptops and mobile phones powered by internal batteries are covered for use anywhere under a licence held for their owner's residence".

    "Any device powered solely by its own internal batteries (i.e. it is not connected to an aerial (wired) or plugged into the mains".
