Can I use the Showwx with my Mac Book Air ? If so exactly what adaptors do I need?

I haven't been able to get it to work with a mini-displayport to VGA dongle and the ShowWX+ VGA dock. The projector turns off the moment it's plugged in, and the macbook air doesn't suggest any resolutions that are appropriate.

I will next try mini-displayport to HDMI, then HDMI to micro-HDMI, then into the projector. I don't have the cables for this yet.
