Are D-Link PowerLine Homeplug AV 500 compatible with iTunes home sharing ?  I have tried 2 other vendors (TP-Link and Zyxel) and neither worked

I contacted Apple via the instant messanger to ask them my question on wether D-Link AV 500 Powerline adapters were compatible with iTunes home sharing and they could not answer my question....After 2 long disapointing tests with the other plugs i wanted some guarantees before commiting to buying more.

I am very disapointed that Apple are manufacturing products that just don't work with other vendors powerline adapters.....Apple products are meant to be simple and just work!!!

Can someone confirm if these Powerline adapters will allow me to share media between my iTunes library with home sharing enabled and my 2 Apple Tv's ?

Thanks.

Hi. I have used the powerline units to plug into the back of my apple TV units. The powerline purely supplies extra units with internet bandwidth.

If you have created a home network then you should be able to connect your apple laptop with you apple tv unit.
