Can I send a gift card to someone in another country

    The Answer is NO, I have been round and round on this one trying to do it. My situation is: I have a friend in Tokyo Japan (I live in the UK) and it is his birthday, I want to buy him an iTunes Gift card, Now I cannot buy it in Pounds Sterling as he will not be able to redeem it in his Japan iStore, as they do not accept other currencies. I also cannot (I have tried) buy it in Japanese Yen from the Japan iStore as when i try it detects my login as being registered in the UK and pushes me back to the UK iStore. So it appears it cannot be done and he will not be getting an iTunes Gift :(

  • Hello. You will need to buy the gift card from the Apple Store of your friend's Country (every gift card has a currency).
