  • the macbook pro does but the macbook air does not I recommend the macbook air over all of them the portability is phenomenal and the reason they have done away with the disc drives is because number 1 everything is moving towards digital downloads number 2 and the most important in my opinion is less moving parts in the laptop so you have hardly any possibility of hardware issues the only thing i would ever worry about and the unibody design is awesome . you could drop this thing off a freaking cliff an it would be ok again i would suggest the macbook air to anyone i personally like the 13 inch the 11 is too small and i still do want the usb drives which it has 2 of those again not to ramble but i would absolutely buy the macbook air I know the answer was supposed to be about the superdrive ad here that is like i said about the macbook air less moving parts made like a tank this enables the superdrive to do the same thing it is made indestructive as well it is solidly built i purchased right away !
