I have an iMac at home and a digital cable/dsl box. I want my iMac to be wireless so I can now have it in a different room.
I have an iMac at home currently connected to internet via a digital cable/dsl box. The phone company says that I can just buy any wireless router and be able to move within the house as long as my computer has a wireless card. I believe that the iMac does, but I want to make sure of that. Also, if there is some product (Time Capsule, AirPort, etc) that would work better than a regular wireless router and still allow my digital cable to funtion, it would be good to know. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Only you can check the iMac System Profiler to see if the iMac contains an AirPort wireless card.
It will be difficult to find a better wireless router than a Time Capsule or an AirPort Extreme. Saving $20 isn't at all worth it.- Answered by Andrew H from Carmel
