Can I increase the range of a magic mouse/wireless keyboard with class 1 bluetooth dongle?

I want to centrally locate a mini-mac/use it from multiple rooms. I can send video via HDMI via matrix splitter. My problem is keyboard/mouse range.

    yes, that will work, you just need to program the mouse and the keyboard with the dongle, not the built in bluetooth of the mac.
