is this the bet drive to get when i buy the macbook air ? can you recommend any others please as i'll also want to play games and burn cd's. Thanks

Given that this drive is restricted to the Macbook Air and won't work with a USB hub, I'd have to recommend against it. I'm using a 3rd party drive that was actually designed for backing up memory cards to CDs and only incidentally for burning CDs and playing DVDs. It's working just fine with no special drivers. I haven't tried burning anything but it certainly playing things correctly. And since I had it just sitting around essentially unused, the price was certainly right.
