Is this the cable to connect my new macbook pro to the old for migration assistant?

I'm not sure of the configuration of the firewire ports on my Macbook Pro and the new one I am coveting. If I go ahead with the purchase of the newest 17" Macbook Pro it seems that the easiest way to transfer all of my files, emails, and settings is with a firewire cable and migration assistant. Is this the cable I need?

i dont know what macbook you currently own, but the current 17" macbook pro has an FW800 port, and thus you'll need an FW cable that features at least one 9-pin connector.

therefore this product is not the one you want.
