This printer is very apple aware but not sure about all OS versions. It can print with Mavericks 10.9.1 but apparently not on all quality settings, this could however be just a driver issue. Mac OS X 10.5 to 10.9 drivers are available on hp.com.

This download package contains the full software solution for OS X 10.9 Mavericks including all necessary software and drivers.

The full software solution is localized for these languages: Danish, German, English, Spanish, Finnish, French, Italian, Korean, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Chinese-Simplified, Chinese-Traditional, Japanese. For other languages, the software will appear in English or the language order specified in System Preferences.

  • I have purchased this printer and have had it over a year. I use an iMac [bought in 2008] and upgraded to Mavericks and it continues to work well; ditto for my Macbook Air. However, I don't know how different is the Macbook Pro. Gabriel
