They work with my old IPad 1...and I think compatibility is a software issue and not a hardware issue. So if you have ITunes and Airplay installed on your very cool IPad 2 AND you have the speakers wired to an airport device (either airport extreme or airport express) I do not think you will have any problems. Enjoy the speakers! I love them.
