Will I have to format my iPhone?
When I switch to a Mac, and connect my iPhone to iTunes on it for the first time, will I have to format it? And if I do, is there a way to get the backup on my Mac?

Answer
iPhone's only sync with one computer. If you have iPhone synced with iTunes on PC, you should backup your data and re-load the data on iTunes in Mac. Then connect your iPhone to Mac and format and let it sync with your iTunes data on Mac. After that, all data from iPhone will automatically backup to Mac upon every successful sync.
