Mac Book Pro 128GB Flash Storage or 750GB Serial ATA, 5400 rpm
Please help! I am looking to buy my son a new laptop as he is starting college and needs a good all around laptop. He will be using laptop for school as well as things like ITunes. Not into computer gaming. I am looking at the Apple refurbished Mac Book Pro
#1 13" with retina display
128 GB flash storage
2.5Ghz dual core i5 processor
3MB shared L3 cache
750GB serial ATA, 5400 rpm
2.9GHz dual core i7 processor
4MB shared L3 cache
They are the same price I just dont know what option would be the best for his needs? Any help would be appreciated.....Thank You

Well what are you going to be using it for. I have the 13 pro MacBook retina with 256GB because the 128GB was just not going to be enough for me. Even at 256 I purchased an external storage drive. One thing about the two you are looking at is the I7 processor which is the way I would go. SSD's are going to be dropping in price in time and you could always switch out the hard drive for a flash drive later. 128GB is just not enough storage in my opinion. The regular MacBook Pro is a lot easier to upgrade if you are even interested. I have both, the regular MacBook and the retina MacBook. One thing I don't like about the retina is that it is not upgradeable as everything is glued to the board. Either way you will be happy but I would definitely not get 128GB, you will need more space than that I'm afraid.

I am deciding between a mac book air with 256GB flash storage or a mac book pro with 500GB Serial ATA @ 5400 rpm. Which MacBook is right for me?
