do I need a landline to use a I pad?

I do not have a landline and use a dongle with my PC

    The iPad product line only connects to Wi-Fi (no USB available on the iPad) thats if you want to download apps, music through the App Store or iTunes. But you can also do this through your PC (via the USB lead and your iTunes on the PC) but some apps do require internet access. So look out for those.
