I currently have a cable box plus a blu-ray player connected to my TV. Will Apple TV work in conjunction with those without a problem? Thanks.

  Yes, Apple TV will work in conjunction with other devices. Although it is an independent device, make sure you have enough auxiliary channels and hdmi ports to add it.
