How does apple tv work with a home theater system?
I want to hook the apple tv to my home theater system so I can use the full capabilities for audio and video.

The Apple TV has optical audio out which I use to feed sound to my 5.1 sound system. Alternatively, if your receiver has HDMI input you can pass the feed through the receiver and then out to the TV.
