A few (confusing) questions regarding wifi connection/Airplay?
So I am interested in picking one of these up as soon as possible however I have a couple of questions regarding set up that I will try to word the best I can...
1. I live in an apartment building that provides free wifi and was wondering if during set up I would have access to the MAC number as for non-browser enabled devices I usually have to email the MAC to our wireless internet provider. I am assuming setting up wifi for an Apple TV would be similar to a blu ray player... But wanted to make sure before I purchased an Apple TV.
2. In regards to Airplay: If I wanted to stream my iPhone to my Apple TV... How does that exactly work? I understand that it has to be on the same network but is it also account based or do I link the devices up? I am just curious considering there are 300 units in my building connected to the same network and I wouldn't want it to accidentally pop up on someone elses screen if that is even at all possible.
Thanks in advanced.

Hi, question 2 is pretty straightforward. AppleTv does require you to have a valid itunes account/appleID to operate fully and it only feeds to the TV it is connected to (by HDMI cable).
As to question 1 - not sure but at $99 it is worth giving it a go??- Answered by Stephen M
