I found this in the Regents street store while on a manic Christmas shopping trip with the family.

To be honest I had never even heard of a solar backpack before but what a great idea!!!

Due to the nature of my job I have to travel around the UK and Europe a lot and my i phone is
forever running out of battery. Because of this I decided to purchase one.

I have had the bag a week or so now and I have found this very useful on more than one occasion. It helps me keep my iPhone ready to go and fully juiced for my emails movies and music.
It wasn't cheap but it's proved a good investment so far. I like the Eco side too.

    A great investment

I bought this backpack for my boyfriend before our recent trip to Thailand. He’s a complete gadget geek and carries an iPhone, DS and Blackberry absolutely everywhere. He always complains about his batteries running out and gets really grumpy when his iPhone is out of juice so this seemed like a good idea.

We’ve just got back and I have to say that it worked like a dream. We got delayed on a couple of occasions and it was a godsend. I was able to charge my DS and he was able to power his devices too. The battery charges all the time from the panel so you have the power waiting for you.

We felt quite cool wearing the bag as well. People kept asking us what the panel was actually for. It gave us a little eco-buzz every time we were asked which was nice. In terms of size, it’s pretty generous. I wouldn’t say it’s a traveling backpack but it will suit a short trip or everyday use.

In summary, a great buy and a good investment in keeping my boyfriend happy. Gadgets are great but it feels like you’ve lost your arm when they have no power. This bag helps you avoid such a scenario.

    Charger Madness :: No More!

This bag is brilliant! Being a busines traveller, I often found myself running out of charge on my phone or forgetting when the last time was I charged my iPod up - but one of my main issues was the amount of chargers that I carried around to charge all the different devices taking up so much space and creating havoc at the xray scanners at airports. I had previously looked at additional 'emergency battery' devices but this meant that I was adding another device and cable into my already 'busy' bag. With this bag, I no longer have to worry about carrying all the extra chargers, I am able to carry the simple USB cables for each of my devices and charge them directly from my bag. With frequently visiting airports, I have to mention that this bag has never been questioned going through the airport scanners so is totally airport friendly.

The bag itself is ideal for me to carry around my laptop, and at the same time have enough room to put a change of overnight clothes into the main compartment. The front compartment holds my PMP, DSi and other regular trip essentials. The back is padded along with the shoulder straps, so very comfortable to trek around for long stints.

All in all a very worthwhile purchase and definitely looking forward to taking it to my next festival where I get the feeling I will be charging several of my mates phones as well as mine!

Great product, but 1 small glitch

I bought this product with the prospect of charging my iphone 3G, my ipod nano and my son's DS when we go camping. Everything is in the bag for doing so, all the adaptors you can think of for charging almost anything. Loads of space in the bag for everything you could ever need. But, it started off OK, but for some reason, when it charges my items (it is not isolated to one item) where as there was a continual charge to each product, it is now broken. My iphone makes an annoying bleep all the time (the same bleep as when you plug it in to the charger but over and over again). I've tried with my son's DS and instead of a continuous orange light when charging, it flashes on and off, so to me there is an obvious break in the charge somewhere, but I can not figure out where and why.

I am not dissing this product as I think it is fantastic, but if someone could contact me as to why this charging problem is occuring, I would really appreciate it.

Fantastic idea, works perfectly exactly as it is described. Only negative it is a very tight ft for a 15" macbook pro. I would not part with it for the world though! More

This bag is awesome. I recently went to a 4 day long festival and knew I wouldn't be able to cope without my iPhone. Used it several times for my phone as well powering a set of USB speakers from it. Plus everyone else's phone and iPod's I was with. This bag kept fully charged throughout the weekend, despite it not being that sunny!!

Going to get far more use out of it than I had originally planned, as now I will use it as my day to day backpack.

Well worth the investment especially if planning any trips anytime soon.

Just remember the sun doesn't need to be beaming for this to charge...it just needs to be light (It continued to charge while I it was left in my tent!!)

I am afraid not. No solar bag on the market can do this (no matter what they claim), well, from what I've found anyways. More
