A satellite TV tuner that gives you high-definition television live on your Mac.
EyeTV Sat is a satellite TV tuner (DVB-S2) that gives you high-definition television live on your Mac. It is a USB 2.0 device that connects your Mac directly to a satellite dish and receives all unencrypted, free-to-view broadcasts. EyeTV Sat has an integrated CI slot for Pay TV; all you need is a compatible combination of Conditional Access Module (CAM) and PayTV subscription SmartCard. Please check with your PayTV provider to ensure support for third-party standard CI receivers.
EyeTV Sat has one quality setting, lossless. It records the DVB stream unaltered to give you the full quality MPEG-2/H.264 file as encoded by the broadcaster, both in HD and standard definition. EyeTV Sat supports DVB multilingual programming, Teletext and Dolby® Digital sound.

Do I need a dish? If yes, what type do you recommend?
- Asked by Lucas J

Answer
For all Sat turners you must have a dish. The dish you required all depends on where in the UK you are located, but you may find it better to pick a bigger size of dish. If you wish to pick up freesat signal you need to have your sat dish at 28.2 which is Astra2. Just Google "Sky Dish" or "Satellite Dish" as there is a number of dishes out there that you can buy. It all depends on which one you like the most, but you may need to check on local planning laws to see what size of dish you can install. …More
