Think someone should point out the good points!
Written by JM from Kew

I looked at all the 4g nano cases and the nike+ is easily the best of a bad bunch.
I don't know about anybody else, but I run so much that I tend to get the odd rain shower from time to time, but surprisingly not one case offered a fully waterproof solution.
I was nearly put off by all the negative comments about this one, but as I had a voucher to use I was going to buy a case anyway. I took it out on a 19 miler, and was pleasantly surprised.
So some pointers:-
1) This seems to be the only nano sport case that also fits the nike+ receiver
2) The Nike+ one will definitely be enough to keep the nano protected through the odd rain shower, but I wouldn't bank on it for any torrential downpours.
3) Observing some of the other comments, I was more careful about putting mine in to the case. No problems or scratches.
4) I'm 12 stone and 6ft tall and my arm fits fine into the strap. There would be plenty of room left if I put on a stone or two too.
5) No, there is no access to the hold button, but as it's at the top it figures that it has to be protected from rain. It didn't prove a problem on my run though, because it was on my arm, I wasn't going to hit any buttons by mistake anyway.
6) Personally I found the controls worked fine through the plastic. The dexterity wouldn't be the same as if the nano was outside the case, but obviously there is a trade off with trying to protect it.
Hope that gives another side to this argument! …More173 of 177 people found this useful

So many bad points...
Written by JE from Norwich

Ok. This is really rubbish. (in my opinion)
1/Cover scratches within seconds (leaving your possibility of money back instantly stuffed)
2/Even my tiny biceps were too big for this
3/It's uncomfortable and itchy even if you can find a place to wear (no laughing in the back)
4/ No access to keypad lock
5/ The cheap scratchy plastic cover is too thick to allow control use.
Who designs this rot? Hang your head in shame. …More124 of 138 people found this useful

Nike+ Sport Armband for iPod nano 4G
disappointed...

Purchased this arm band case for my ipod nano due to fact like to run with nike +. The ipod is very difficult to get into and out of the case and normally results in the clear screen getting damaged.
Also the arm band is not very long so any one with a large upper arm will not be able to wear this arm band.
To sum up... for a nike case ... very disappointed and waste of money!!! …More110 of 125 people found this useful

Don't Buy this product
Written by MT from IVYBRIDGE

The Nike armband for the 2nd generation ipod nano was great. However, this product is awful. Doing any sort of movement where you flex/extend your biceps causes the armband to 'ping' loose - if you have it loose enough to stop this happening then the band ends up falling down to your wrist. It's not possible to access the hold switch, without having to take the ipod out of the armband - very annoying if you've inadvertently left left the ipod on hold whilst putting it into the band. And finally after one cool wash the plastic screen has become all stiff. Whatever you do don't buy this product. …More

Not as bad as suggested by other reviews

A lot of people complain about the restrictiveness of the armband. I have quite big upper arms and wear it on my lower arm but this would be the case with most other armbands too. It's really comfortable to wear. It's not elasticated and has a wide band so it's easy to get a comfy fit without worrying about it being too tight. It took some time to get the iPod in/out of the case but the upside is that it is nice and snug and there's no fear of it falling out. I've found it great for being in the gym and walks/runs outdoors. …More

Frustrating
Written by RO from York

While this does keep the ipod on your arm - and dry in wet weather, which is not to be sniffed at - that's about all. The plastic through which you manipulate the ipod is so thick that it's very difficult to work the ipod - even just to skip tunes, nevermind using the dial - on the move. Which I usually am when I'm running. I don't know if there are better ones around, but it would certainly be worth paying more for one which works. …More

is this suitable for nano generation 5?

Best Answer
Well, it fits, but the clear plastic cover which has the recessed click wheel area does not line-up with the click wheel on the nano as the position of the wheel on the 5G is lower (as the screen is larger), although you can still scroll and click with no problems.
Another issue is once you plug the receiver in the bottom the overall length of the nano + receiver is too long to fit in the allocated space (I assume 4G nano was shorter?), so the receiver just hangs out, but is covered by the flap (that has the Nike+ logo on it) - but I imaging it could get knocked out while running - but not tested it yet.
So, it fits, it works, but Nike need to do an updated 5G version to solve these issues! …More- Answered by RK from Twickenham
