The Scosche passPORT adapter upgrades in-car iPod integration accessories that do not support charging for your iPhone 3G, iPod nano 4th generation, and iPod touch 2nd generation.

I have the in car BMW kit for ipod, and purchased this for the same reasons as everyone else. It functions perfectly! There is NO hiss as reported by others, all functions work and it charges the Iphone 3G very well, compared to cheap charge cables which dont supply enough power to the unit to actually use it while charging. It DOES have the warning message, but doesnt have the not compatible message following. Doesnt bother me in the slightest, dont know why it should, its a system saver!! …More

I bought this to use in my car with my Alpine CDA 9886R head unit as the KCE 422i cable doesn't support charging on new iPods and all I can say is this product is amazing. Works perfectly and can't be faulted.

Be aware that this product does not allow charching on a 4th. generation nano using a Jaguar XF.
The manufactures website states it does and Jaguar states this also.
