Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin for iPod and iPhone
An all-in-one hi-fi solution for all your audio needs, the Zeppelin offers a sleek, iconic body housing five speakers that produce the clearest sound from your iPhone, iPod or Mac.
- Analogue and optical digital AUX port
- Connect to TV with composite and S-video output
- Midrange and tweeter from advanced M-1 speaker
- Powerful bass from centrally located subwoofer
Overview
The award-winning B&W Zeppelin is the speaker your iPod and iPhone have been waiting for. It uses drive unit technologies and design principles refined and perfected for Bowers & Wilkins' most advanced reference-standard speakers.
Freedom to choose your sound source
Unlike most speaker docks, Zeppelin lets additional sound sources to play through Zeppelin, view videos on a screen using your iPod or iPhone and stream sound using Apple AirPort Express or any other networked audio streaming system.
Sounds as good as it looks
The Zeppelin's stunning body follows the form of its components, with two tweeters at each end, two mid-range drivers next with a subwoofer in the center. The less physical material there is around tweeters and midranges, the better they sound. The shape makes for ultra-wide sound dispersion and a much smoother response.
Superbly easy to use
Complimenting the iPod user interface, the docking port lets you grasp your iPod as if it were in your hand. It also cleverly accommodates iPod or iPhone models of differing depths with a spring-loaded docking arm that flexes to secure them without adapters or other adjustment.
Features
- Superb, room-filling sound
- Analogue and optical digital AUX port for connecting earlier iPod models
- Composite and S-video output for connecting to TVs for video output
- Midrange and tweeter derived from Bowers & Wilkins' M-1 speaker
- Internal subwoofer centrally located for bass with power and authority
- Three high-quality amplifiers
- Docking arm that lets you grasp your iPod or iPhone
- Spring-loaded docking connector flexes to accommodate each iPod or iPhone model
Did you notice?
You can connect Zeppelin to a monitor or television to view photos, movies, even YouTube videos directly from your iPod or iPhone.

Expensive? Not for this sound!

Well just having unpacked and powered up ( just as simple as a mac set-up) , and placing my 3GS in the specially designed dock, and selected a suitable play list.......
WOW - Bass is solid with any song and high notes remain crisp and clear at any volume!
The remote although simple in design - does the job.
In summary, worth its money? Yes ! …More89 of 94 people found this useful

Outstandingly Good

I got one of these at Christmas to replace the BOSE i Pod docker which in itself is an excellent sound system. But the Zeppelin simply blows all the others away, sound is incredible and full.
And with a good extension lead you can take to the garden and fill the outside of the house too.
Well worth every penny. …More67 of 74 people found this useful

Is it possible to remove the iPod dock? I want to use it with my airport express only!

Best Answer
Yes. You need to carefully pull off the rubber base. It is held in place by double sided adhesive tape. Undo the four security screws that hold the arm in place. Once the arm is lose, you will need to carefully unlock the ribbon cable connector and coax the cable out of the connector. Replace the rubber base. The tool to remove the screws is included in the optional wall mount bracket, which turns Zeppelin into a great 2.1 soundbar for your flat panel display.
