Hand on Steering wheel remote for iPod
Written by AS

Steering wheel control feature is what makes this product 5 stars for me.
There are lots of other nice features such as the bendable arm, revolving holder and aux extension cable to allow the Aux reach my glove box where it connects to the aux port for my car radio.
The finish on the remote is very classy and blends nicely to the other chrome in my car.
When this is mounted in the cigarette socket it has got great movement making it easy to reach from my driving position.
An added benefit from this is my iPod does not slide around on the passenger seat anymore.
I am also using this for my iPhone 3G as well for charging and holding my iPhone while using the maps on the gps while driving.

Fantastic

When I bought my iPhone I also treated myself to this baby.
It uses the lighter socket to stands the arm of the unit to the position you desire. It also rotates in the cradle holder to allow a landscape view of the gps app on the iPhone.
Arms that hold the phone in position a are covered in a material that protects from rough edges. Also a very nice feature is that you can move the back support of the unit to the position that supports the back of the iPhone when in the cradle.
Also included is an extension aux cable to allow me to connect to the aux port in my Audi for some design reason sits in the section between the seats.
I highly recommend this product. Naturally it also charges the iPhone as well. …More62 of 66 people found this useful

Cradle of Comfort

Great Great fit for my iPhone in car.
Adjust everyway to support the iPhone... from the back and side.... it even opens only one arm when releasing to stop the phone falling out of the cradle if you have turned the iPhone 90 degrees in the cradle.
Charges my phone as I travel and also allows me to play my tunes into my car stereo from the steering wheel remote. How sweet is that.
Although you still have to adjust the volume on the car radio which is not a big deal as mine is also on the steering wheel.
A big thumbs up from me on this and five well earned stars for the feature. …More54 of 55 people found this useful

Buy this you won`t regret it.

This thing is really one of very few purchases i`m delighted with. I wanted a car mount that rotated, charged and had a hard wired line out. I didn`t even notice the remote control, which incidentally is the very best feature !!
I almost didn`t buy this as i thought it was a bit pricey for a car mount, but my beloved i phone (3GS) has now become a fully integrated part of my car with this piece of genius.
The only minor faults are that it doesn`t output an incoming call via the line out & the build quality isn`t perfect, but these small negatives are more than made up for by it`s fantastic performance.
Forget the price & buy it & no i do not work for Kensington or Apple, but i think people need to know how great this thing is !!! …More12 of 14 people found this useful

Kensington LiquidAUX Deluxe for iPhone and iPod
Good idea poorly executed - not good value
Written by BD from Horsham

I have now had this product for six months and whilst initially it worked OK it is now worthless. At first I was happy albeit the unit is bulky and obscures the heater controls. Now the mount that plugs into the lighter socket has a lot of play meaning it will not maintain a connection or hold the iphone. The remote is great but now requires multiple clicks to work, despite new batteries.
For the money this is poorly designed and engineered and needs some work.
I would suggest one of the cheaper models that does not have to support the ipod/iphone's weight on the lighter socket as this is clearly a design fault. …More10 of 13 people found this useful
