This multi charger makes it possible to charge ANY of your iPod/iPhones devices.
Contrary to somer other reviews concerning its similar but smaller cousin, the Griffin PowerDock 2 (that can only charge 2 devices at once), this model can charge 4 devices of the same type at once!
You only have to decide when popping in the included plastic holsters which devices you want to use. For example, there is only two iPhone holsters meaning that only two iPhones could be charged simultaniously. However, they holsters only support the shape of the device - but in reality you don't need them. If your're in the need of charging 4 iphones at once or your need is changing all the time you could simply avoid using the supporting plastic holsters. It will charge just as well anyway as the male connecter is the same for all the Apple devices.
My need was 2 iPhones and one Nano - therefore I have just used 3 of the included pastic hosters, luckily 2 was included for the iPhone and 1 for the Nano 2. gen. Therefore I have left one port without any holsters at all giving the oppertunity to charge any kind of Apple device (but without the elegant support, of course) as the plasticholsters actually prevents you of charging any device that is smaller/bigger than it was designed for.
The 8 included plastic holsters won't satisfy every users need - but in that case leave some of the charge ports without the holster. Note, it is extremely difficult to change/remove the holsters after they have been inserted into the charger! …More19 of 20 people found this useful
