effects radio in a big way

when using my radio in a ford transit van 2006 and a honda civic 2004, it effects the radio reception in a big big way, seem's like the radio is not tuned in properly, remove the iphone 3g from the cable and the radio reception is perfect,

    but charges the 3g ok

Nice product, looks nice, needs a few improvements

I purchased this product a few months ago. It is a good product, the design is neat and stylish.

The blue light which glows around the USB socket on the top of the adaptor is just enough to signify the device is powered and working but not like some previous adaptors I have had so bright it is a newsence at night.

This product does suffer from a couple of issues:

    1) The lead isn't coiled, and that in itself means you end up with a length of lead which gets in the way of passengers when sitting on the front seat, you end up stuffing the excess cable down the side of the seat and in the dark trying to find the end of this long cable is tricky. One nice touch however is this companies logo is engraved in the plug, which makes it easier to orientate the connector and plug it into the phone in the dark.

    2) In my Honda Civic (Euro version, 2007 model) the lighter stocket and this adaptor only barely work, I have to really push the adaptor in hard.

On my Iveco Daily Van 2002 this adaptor doesn't even fit in the socket, ie the socket is much larger than the adaptor.

On a 2004 Golf however it fits and works perfectly!

I never realised until owning this adaptor that lighter sockets in vehicles varied so much. It is worth noting that my TomTom adaptor fits without problems in all three of the above vehicles.
