Command & Conquer Generals - Deluxe Edition
The Best RTS Game for the Mac. It will run in an intel iMac.

On a top Spec G5 this looks brilliant. It never plays the same way twice and it'll take you a year or so to play every single map. Even if you are never going to play it online it is still excellent value. You can find and download extra maps too to extend that replay value too. It does have some issues with intel macs apparently and we are all waiting for a patch or something from Aspyr. However, I managed to run both Zero Hour and Generals on an intel imac with 2GB of RAM and even a G4 eMac with just 374MB RAM. Obviously the graphic take a big knock, you lose the shadows and things can... get... a bit... jerky... when it all gets a bit busy but if you want to play the best RTS Game on the Mac and don't have the best machine it will run alright on minimum spec (it just doesn't look as pretty.) …More

Wiped out our G5
Written by NG from BRECON

The game itself is excellent, our son loves it, but don't install it on a G5, or if you do, you better back up everything first. We lost everything. In very small print on the back of the case, it says: "This game contains technology intended to prevent copying that may conflict with some disk and virtual disk drives." All we tried to do was load it onto the hard drive and got a fatal error.
Works fine on our MacBook Pro, just wiped out our G5. …More117 of 196 people found this useful

Hours and hours of endless fun!

Ever since Red Alert and Red Alert 2 I have loved the Command & Conquer series, and although I knew nothing could ever again match the joy I got from the Red Alert's, this come mighty close. The game play is perfect. Not a thing out of place. And after having the game for 4 years now, the online game play still keeps me glue to the seat in my office. If you want a real time killer that will last out its welcome with your wife or parents and then some, this is the thing to get.
Value for money wise, couldn't be better. I've played this game for literally 1,000's of hours, every one been as enjoying as the last. And in sight of that, this thing is worth mile more than any other game I have ever played. …More27 of 32 people found this useful
