Perfect
Whilst tiny, this is (as you would expect) a well-made adapter which fits snugly and securely to a male micro USB connection. The description states that it is both ultra compact and durable, I think it delivers on both. In terms of use, it does exactly what you would expect it to. Of course, it's a little pricey for what it is, but it's value for money if you don't want to change USB leads over all the time. …

Best accessory till now
This must be the best accessory to date for the iphone 5 lightning cable issue. The price is same as a spare lightning cable but o nce you get this you can use it with any generic micro USB cable. And those are much cheaper than the USB lightning cable. So it would be better to go for this tiny adapter rather then a spare cable also once you buy this you are world of charging options really opens up, So go for it. …

Not compatible with all cables
This works fine on my iphone 5 with a nokia 1m cable, but not with a 5m cable even though the nokia works OK. It just puts the ph one into a charging/not charging loop. Will try with a 3m cable and if I don't report back it works …

Expensive but thought a durable alternative to an expensive cable
I thought I'd buy this and use a cheap micro USB cable so when ultimately the strain relief fails on the cable I can just pay £1 f or a new micro USB cable. instead of £15 for a new cable. I plugged in my £1 cable and the phone said "Charging is not supported with this accessory". I could see the phone in iTunes and sync worked, just no charge. I then tried a second cable i got with my Logitech remote control and that works fine. I tried the cheap cable with the Logitech remote and it worked fine. So whatever reason it seems this adaptor doesn't work with all cables.
I think the idea is still sound, as the cables tend to fail with the strain relief at each end, so at least the adaptor will be more durable, if only I can find out what it is that makes some cables work and some not. …- Written by David P from Hatfield

The lightning connector does not support an ethernet connection. Besides that, your ethernet adapter most likely is a full sized USB device where this is a micro USB connector. They are not the same. …

can i use this product to transfer a file from my usb that contains a video & audio, documents & want them transfer to my ipad 4th gen
- Asked by Emilia M from Barry
- 10-Nov-2012
Answer
You can transfer that file if two other conditions are also present. 1) You only want to transfer vi deo and pictures. 2) You plug a Powered USB hub in first. A Powered USB hub has a wall adapter to supply power (you get an error message on the iPad from the USB drive drawing too much power if the hub doesn't get power from the wall).
If both of those conditions are met, this will work. …- Answered by Josh C from Stansbury Park
