I am very gentle and careful with all my electronic items! There is no visible wear or anything like that, just all of a sudden I just couldn't get internet anymore. For the price it really doesn't last - Apple needs to sort this out as they obviously are not built for the long run! Going to pursue getting my money back!

We haven't had any issues with them. (Sure some broke, but things break after a lot of use) Some we have had for two years and are still going.

The people complaining about them breaking after 2 months are clearly just mistreating them. Leaving them plugged in when carrying the laptop in a bag, or resting the laptop on its side with it still plugged in. (I've seen this many times before). I'm sure if you take it to apple, and it is a genuine fault not caused by you they will replace it for you.

I have had no problem with the actual hardware of the adaptor. It always worked like a charm. But the quality of the cable is poor I have had no problem with the actual hardware of the adaptor. It always worked like a charm. But the quality of the cable is poor to say the least. I had the cable for almost 2 years now and the rubber has disintegrated, leaving the internals of the cable exposed. You might think, well 2 years... but £25 pounds for an adaptor for a macbook air (that does not have an ethernet port) I think it should last way longer than that! Also, considering I live in the UK there is not even the excuse of extreme heat that might have "cooked" the cable coating.

Shame that some of those apple products are so poor and cheap.
