    Apple Composite Cable

Great item allows you to view your photos on a tv, listen to your ipod through a home stereo, sync the ipod and charge it either via a usb port or the included power adapter which has both a UK 3 pin plug and the euro 2 pin adapter both included, which is great when your away on holiday! The price is a little steep but when you compare the price of this pack to purchasing the parts individually (The AV lead) (An extra usb lead) (UK power adpater) (& the Euro power adapter) it's really not that bad, and Apple are not on their own for shipping goods without power adapters, I just suppose it's there way of making a little extra money off you! If you do connect this lead up to all your home entertainment system, and you wish to take your ipod away with you (But you still wish to charge it) without undoing all the wiring, remember you still have the usb cable that came with the ipod and now the choice of 2 power adapters to charge it on the move! Impressive Output Quality

It seemed expensive for a cable, but, WOW! The quality outout is fantastic. It means I can watch videos off the iPod straight onto on my tv, or onto my portable 7 Inch LCD screen. Well worth the investment.

It comes with 2 power adaptors(UK and European), however it would be nice if it aqlso included a car adaptor. Although you can buy a car adaptor powered USB port for a few quid off any good electrical outlet or website.

Works Perfectly. The price is a bit high for what it is, but it has completely removed any need for me to buy blank DVD's which will save me quite a chunk of change over time.

Plus you do also get a USB - wall plug (both UK and Euro) charger include in the box which you can use with your standard iPod USB cable, great for when traveling.

overall, I'm very happy with this product

    Works well, sort of...

This does what it says on the box, but only when DIRECTLY connected to an iPod via the bottom port.

I have a Universal Dock that I connect using this cable to the RCA inputs on my sound system amplifier.

If I connect the cable directly to the iPod it works perfectly, however, if I connect the cable to a Universal Dock the output signal is so low that I have to increase the volume on the amplifier to about 3 times more! I have tried using different input ports and changing the trim levels, no good.

    Great Product

Can't fault this product for quality. It's awesome. So far I've used it on the iPod Touch 2nd Gen. Video, photo slide show's and music all work perfect. In the box you also get a charger and plugs for England and Europe which for me is excellent as I've often thought of buying the travel adapter, but now I don't have to.

The Cable quality is of the highest standard and the connectors are brushed aluminium and of amazing quality. The only thing I would say is LEAVE THE PROTECTIVE STICKY LABELS ON! I took mine off and when I connected it to the TV I couldn't get them off again as I couldn't get a grip on them as they were a snug fit on the TV. I've since retrieved the labels from the bin and they have a tab to grab to help pull.

Other than that this well worth getting as now when I travel I have my own media player, and if you buy the dock you then have a remote for the ipod too. Some have said expensive, but you get what you pay for with Apple.

I’m not a professional, but have plenty of experience with this, so I’ll do my best to explain in laymen’s terms.

In the case of Apple's AV cables to be used with your iPod or iPhone, it's the difference in how you connect your video feed.

Component AV consists of 3 RCA-type plugs to carry the video feed to your TV/Monitor. With this connection you are able to send the lowest form of an HD video signal (720i and maybe 720p, but I’m not positive about the ‘p’). So with this product you’ll see 5 RCA-type plugs; 3 for the video and 2 for the audio.

Composite AV consists of a single RCA-type plug to carry the video feed to your TV/Monitor. This is the simplest form of video feed and will have 3 RCA-type plugs; 1 for the video and 2 for the audio.

Newer TV's and Monitors often have both options available or only component, whereas the older TV's and Monitors only have the composite option available. Be sure you check out what connections are available on your specific TV.

A number of recent firmware updates have included blocks on non-OEM (Apple) cables.

This is an Apple cable and therefore should be fully compatible and not be blocked by the firmware updates. More

This is the COMPOSITE cable. The sockets on your TV are COMPONENT sockets. You need to purchase the Apple Component AV Cable, which plugs into the 5 sockets you describe. More
