Beautiful keyboard, not for everyone...
I bought this the morning it came on the site - my older apple keyboard whilst responsive was too clunky and heavy. and sitting 8 hours a day at it, I started to get tired wrists from the height.
Let's set aside the looks - they're fantastic. And the anodysed look closely matches my monitors and mac pro case - good job apple!
The response takes a very slight getting used to, but once you have it's far easier to type from and completely comfortable during long sessions.
This keyboard might still not be a replacement for everyone though:
the additional shortkeys at the top may be great for the casual user, but if like me you're a pro apps user, beware that such keys as the volume controls have been stuck onto the F keys. F keys that you may use constantly in Final Cut Pro.
You can turn the volume controls off when you use such apps, but personally I find it a little tricky to juggle between the two.
Just a word of warning if you are a heavy apps user, otherwise a very solid product that combines great looks with impressive functionality.

Fabulous, an absolute joy to use
This is the best keyboard I've ever used. A bit like the MacBook keyboard but more positive in use and the keys feel really solid and responsive. It's supermodel sized (wafer thin and no excess around the sides of the keyboard), quiet and is a full keyboard with a proper numeric keypad and cursor key cluster.
The one I'm typing on is connected to a MacBook Pro and I'm just about to go and order 2 more, one to keep at work to save me carrying this one around and another for my Mac Mini. It's just a shame the wireless version doesn't have all the keys otherwise I'd be ordering one of those too!
As for the comments about missing anti slip pads, the one that arrived here today has 4 rubber feet underneath and I haven't had a problem at all with it slipping around on my laminated desk here. All the keys work as expected as well.

Great keyboard, but...
I purchased this because most vector design programs require a degree of number entry, I use AutoCAD a lot and need the numeric ke ypad. My new iMac shipped with a the tiny wireless keyboard – I sold that on eBay for £63 [god knows why people will pay above rrp on there!]
They alpha-numeric keyboard is lovely to use and is every bit as stylish as Apples usual offerings, however; it comes with 2 USB ports which are only USB 2.0 support – there is no reason this shouldn’t be USB 3.0 in this day and age, additionally the ports are recessed so far into the board that you have to use the ugly extension cable the keyboard ships with in order to actually connect a memory stick to it.
Personally I have no issues with the keyboard being hardwired but it does seem a little strange not to offer a wireless version without the USB connectivity.
Just need to replace the world’s heaviest and un-ergonomic mouse [the magic one] with something useful now.

Are Apple keyboards, with only a delete key, less efficient in making deletions than conventional keyboards with both a backspace and a delete key?

Best Answer
The short answer is yes, but as with any other kind of switch, it takes a little getting used to.
As we may already know, the Apple-style delete removes characters backwards, akin to PC's backspace. However, if you hold down the fn key on an Apple keyboard while you press the delete key, it removes characters forward, akin to the PC delete that we all know.
I'm not sure if an Apple keyboard implements a PC keyboard's Insert, but then again to me it really doesn't matter, since I never use that key anyway.
Other useful PC-to-Apple keyboard translations:
Home on PC => fn + left arrow on Apple
End on PC => fn + right arrow on Apple
Page Up on PC => fn + up arrow on Apple
Page Down on PC => fn + down arrow on Apple
Windows Key on PC => Cmd Key on Apple (in Windows only)
Naturally, all of these keystrokes on the Apple keyboard can be combined with Shift, Ctrl/Cmd, and/or Alt as necessary, so for example, Ctrl+Alt+Del on PC would translate to Ctrl+Alt+fn+Del to get the same effect using an Apple keyboard.
I have not yet found a translation on an Apple keyboard for PC keyboard's Print Screen key, which is useful for capturing screenshots quickly. Does anyone here know how to send such a code with an Apple keyboard, assuming it can actually do that? …- Answered by George H from Dayton

Answer
I suspect the Apple Store employee may be incorrect.
Per product description, the Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad features an extended layout; an elegant, ultrathin anodized aluminum enclosure; low-profile keys; and two USB 2.0 ports.
I don't see how a USB 2.0 port can serve as a USB 3.0 connection between the Mac Mini and the external device.
