I'm not aware of anything like this--I think it's because if you were just wearing it on your neck, it would be too heavy, and would swing around a lot. That's why they make so many belt clips and armbands. I know the first generation shuffle had a lanyard, and the current one just has a clip...you could look into one of those if you don't want to use an arm band or belt clip. …More

The iPhone 4S fits in very snugly although you can still see the top edge. You can use the volume control through the sock. It won't give as much protection as a case but it should help stop scratches. …More
