No More Fumbling in the Dark
This is great for the bedroom. No more waking the tablet up to switch lights on or off. I use the big button to turn off all light This is great for the bedroom. No more waking the tablet up to switch lights on or off. I use the big button to turn off all lights, including those in other rooms. The smaller buttons are set for relaxing, reading and turning on the lounge/kitchen lights in the morning so I can make coffee. It took me a minute or two to realise that a button either turns lights on OR off, not both. The buttons are not a toggle, so having one button for 'off' is needed. …

Should be called Hue Clunk. Button presses can be hit and miss.
I was really looking forward to this to save using my phone to change lighting scenes, and the idea of effortlessly tapping a disc I was really looking forward to this to save using my phone to change lighting scenes, and the idea of effortlessly tapping a discreet little box on the wall was appealing. However it's a bit clunky in practice.
There are 4 buttons you program from the app, the large front panel acts as the first button, then there are 3 smaller ones inset into it.

Unfortunately because of this it's often easy to not push them far enough, so clicks aren't always registered.
Although the fact the device needs no batteries is very clever, I'd think I'd have preferred something that took batteries and was more responsive and easier to register clicks on. That and the high price gets it 3 stars. …

Works very well
After reading the reviews I was a little concerned about buying this. Received it and connected within seconds and it works exactl After reading the reviews I was a little concerned about buying this. Received it and connected within seconds and it works exactly as expected. Other reviews have mentioned that its a little clunky and hard to push. When you push any button it uses that energy to generate the power to function so it does require a firm push. I would rather a firm push than batteries or mains..... …
