Sena also make a Vettra 360 specifically for the iPad Air 2, which does not appear to be on sale at the Apple UK store at this time).
This is a high quality leather case with a price tag to match, costing slightly more than the Apple Smart Case, but IMO it represents better value than the Apple case for its greater versatility. It can display in both landscape and portrait modes at different viewing angles as well as a typing mode (the photos here don't show all its permutations).
The case comes in two separate but attached parts: the tray and the cover/back plate. The tray is lined with a dark felt-like material and offers all round, edge-to-edge protection for the iPad. The iPad sits snugly in the tray - in fact so snugly that it can be difficult to remove it again without damaging it or the case if not done carefully. The only exposed bits are the power socket and the headphone jack. (the latter accommodates Bowers & Wilkins P3 headphones). The speaker grill perforations align perfectly, and the covered volume & sleep buttons work without issue.
The cover/backplate incorporates a hidden hinge allowing for full 360 degree rotation for landscape/portrait viewing at different angles. The cover can be folded fully back on itself to lay flat open, or at a slight incline for typing mode, as with the Apple Smart case. The interior of the cover is lined with a black rubber in a fine waffle pattern, providing a non-slip surface and good grip. It also has the advantage of hiding marks. The cover incorporates a magnetic closure that operates the sleep/wake function. When closed, the lid sits flush on the screen with no discernible gaps. The leather has a nice hide smell to it.
My only gripe - a very minor one at that - is that it can be a faff to use the rear camera when out and about because the backplate covers it in normal use. One can work around this by folding the cover back on itself and rotating the iPad perpendicular to the case. It's not ideal, but one can't have everything I suppose!
All in all, a quality product and a fitting companion for your nice new, shiny iPad! I will be ordering another one for my iPad Air 2 when it becomes available. …

The iPad sits snugly in the tray, similar to the Apple Smart Case. The iPad is held firmly in place in the tray, with no danger of falling out. The iPad can be removed from the tray, but because the fit is so tight, I would not recommend doing this too often as it can risk damaging the iPad or the case, and may loosen the tightness of the hold over time.
The cover/backplate piece is attached to the tray via a hidden hinge on the inside rear of the case and is not detachable. It can be rotated 360 degrees for landscape/portrait mode viewing. …
